Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the site at 4reelz.co and the 4reelz beta (the "Service"), operated by 4reelz, a Hong Kong sole proprietorship operated by Billy Fong ("4reelz", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Beta access

Access is invite-only. We approve testers in batches and send a magic link to the approved email after you join the beta Discord. Access is gated by Discord guild membership. We may add, change, or end beta access at any time.

2. Your use of the Service

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not:

• resell, redistribute or commercially exploit the Service or its content;
• reverse-engineer or build a competing product from the Service;
• use the Service to break the law, infringe rights, or scrape/collect data in violation of any platform's terms;
• interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to, the Service.

3. Content and data

4reelz analyzes public Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts data. We do not access private accounts or DMs. Analysis sends transcripts, on-screen text and five sampled frames to DeepSeek; transcription sends audio/transcript to Deepgram; public metadata/media is fetched through Apify. All intellectual property in the Service and its output belongs to us or our licensors. Briefs and derived analyses on the site are illustrative examples. You are responsible for how you use any output.

4. Feedback

If you send us bug reports, ideas or other feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it to improve the Service, without attribution.

5. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms.

6. Third-party services

The Service links to third-party services (for example Discord, Instagram, GitHub). We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or practices; their own terms apply.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. 4reelz is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, TikTok, or YouTube.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is capped at the greater of HK$400 or the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or end your access at any time, including if you breach these Terms. Sections 3, 4, 7, 8 and 10 survive termination.

10. General

• Changes. We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
• Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction.
• Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest stays in effect.

These Terms are a plain-language draft for the v1 beta and are pending formal legal review. The v1 cloud service stores a 720p copy of public source video and uses the AI subprocessors named in the Privacy Policy.
